Symptoms are not problems to be silenced.

They are messages — your body's way of asking for what it needs. Our work is to listen, and to help you do the same.

    Acupuncture

    Channels activated. Vitality restored.

Your body is a vast watershed of interconnected channels — and when they flow freely, you experience vibrant health. Acupuncture restores that flow, working with your nervous system to support the body's own capacity for healing.

Melinda Iglesias Wheeler

Founder / Acupuncturist / Herbalist

Melinda Iglesias Wheeler is a mixed, queer, mother, healer, bodyworker, acupuncturist, and trained as a doctor of East Asian Medicine. Melinda is the owner of Malachite Medicine in Portland, Oregon. Melinda practices a medicine that enables us to heal ourselves individually and by extension, collectively. East Asian medicine is a framework which illuminates a greater understanding of all the spaces, roles, relationships, and habitual ways we inhabit our body and mind — and offers us transformation. While listening to her patients words and bodies, Melinda co-creates lasting change and transformation in those she works with.

She founded Malachite Medicine to offer patients a more intimate, continuous model of care — a space where you are welcomed exactly as you are, and where healing is understood as something you move through together, not something done to you.

Something personal about Kelsie

Kelsie

Classical Chinese medicine & Western Astrology.

Kelsie is a Licensed Acupuncturist, Professional Astrologer, and Biodynamic Bodyworker whose work sits at the intersection of East Asian medicine, somatic practice, and the ancient wisdom of astrology. She brings a rare integration of modalities to her patients — and a genuine curiosity about the whole person.

In her acupuncture and bodywork practice, Kelsie works with the body’s inherent intelligence, attuning to the patterning present and supporting the conditions in which it can reorganize toward greater ease and vitality. Her bodywork draws on biodynamic principles — honoring the fluid, rhythmic nature of the body’s systems — and is often combined with acupuncture for patients whose presentations call for both.

As a Professional Astrologer offering both Western and Chinese Astrology, Kelsie uses the natal chart as a framework for deeper self-understanding — particularly during times of transition, change, or the sense that you’re at a crossroads. Her astrological work is grounded, non-dogmatic, and oriented toward empowerment rather than prediction.

Kelsie sees patients in-office and remotely. She welcomes patients for acupuncture, biodynamic bodywork, astrology readings, and integrated sessions that combine modalities.
